ABOUT US
Sun Land Sdn Bhd is jointly owned by investors from Malaysia, Australia and the EU. Its project, SunLand Residence, is the first of many
projects to be undertaken by this group of investors who collectively has more
than 300 years of experience in property investments & development and
other businesses in Malaysia and abroad, particularly in Australia.
The foreign investors are answering the Malaysian Governments recent call to participate in the Malaysian property sector, and
enjoy the initiatives and generous incentives recently offered by Malaysia.
Guided by the expert advice and technical input from the foreign investors, the
project will be managed entirely by a Malaysian team comprising of the
following senior executives:
Mr Vanda R Gould
Director
Vanda has broad business experience having practiced as a chartered accountant for more than 30 years. As founding Chairman in 1984 of CVC Limited (listed on the ASX) he has overseen investments in several companies involved in the health services/medical industries including Cyclopharm Limited (listed on the ASX) where Vanda is Chairman. CVC Limited has substantial interest in the property sector via Sunland Group Limited, Australia. He is also chairman of several other private and public companies and educational establishments. Vanda has an interest in Vita Lifes largest shareholder and CVC Venture Managers.
Vanda has Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce, both from the University of NSW. He is also fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts, Australia and Australia Society of Certified Practising Accountants.
Y.Bhg. Dato' Seri Talaat Bin Haji Husain, SPCM, DPCM, DPMP, JSD, PJK, PJM
Chairman
Dato' Seri Talaat bin Haji Husain, is a Director of Sun Land Sdn Bhd and Chairman of Vita Health Asia Pacific Group.
Dato' Seri Talaat obtained his early education at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Political Science) from University of Science Malaysia, a Masters in Professional Studies (International Planning) from Cornell University, USA and attended Advance Management Programs at London Business School and Harvard Business School. He joined the Malaysian Civil Service in 1973 and started as an Assistant State Secretary in Penang, and later holding positions in the Prime Minister's Department, National Institute for Public Administration (INTAN), the National Palace and the Ministry of Education. He has also served as Mayor of Ipoh City for two terms before becoming the Secretary General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Prior to his retirement he held the position of Secretary General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. Whilst in the Government Service he held the positions of Chairman of Companies Commission of Malaysia, Board Member of Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation, Malaysian Communication and Multi-Media Corporation and Sepang International Circuit.
Dato' Seri Talaat is also an Independent Director of Silver Bird Group Berhad and Konsortium Logistik Berhad. He is also holding position of Chairman of several private limited companies and currently a Board Member of Outward Bound Trust of Malaysia.
Eddie Tie Lim Sung,
CPA, CA, CFP, FCCA (UK), FCPA (Australia)
Managing Director
Eddie Tie is also currently the Group Managing Director of Vita Life Sciences Ltd, Australia, which has subsidiaries and business partners across Asia Pacific region.
He has over 25 years of experience in accounting, financial and
treasury management, and corporate and tax planning. He has also been involved
in privatization projects, business development and mergers and acquisitions
and has held senior positions, including Managing Director and Finance
Director, in companies owned by investors in
Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam,
Thailand, UK, USA,
and Australia.
Eddie has worked with several groups of companies that were involved in
property development & construction (GDV in excess of RM1.0 billon),
manufacturing, hotel ownership and management, education, IT, and stock
broking.
Daud Yunus
Executive Director
Daud received his tertiary education in accounting in the UK.
He was professionally trained in accounting,
audit and investment fields before moving into the corporate finance and
investment management career.
He is currently the Group Managing Director of the Perkasa Normandy Holdings Sdn Bhd. The Group is licensed by the Securities Commission
to undertake fund management, investment research and corporate advisory activities.
Daud also represents his clients on the Board
of Directors of various investee companies including VitaHealth Asia Pacific
Sdn Bhd group of companies.
Andrew Tan Teik Wei, MBA
Executive Director
Andrew Tan is currently an entrepreneur, investor and an independent
business and management consultant.
His varied
business interests include real estate investments in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Prior to venturing out on his own, Andrew has over 25 years of
international IT and management consulting experience with several large and
global consulting firms.
He has held
very senior positions, including Managing Director, in the companies he worked
in and has lived in several countries including Malaysia,
Singapore, the UK, Indonesia,
Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Lee Choon Kiat
General Manager
Projects
Lee Choon Kiat is the companys General Manager Projects.
Prior to joining Sun Land Sdn Bhd he was employed as Senior Manager of a
property development company which completed a commercial development project in
Ipoh with GDV
in excess of RM75 Million.
Prior to joining the property development industry, Choon
Kiat was attached with financial institutions mainly involved in the area of
Corporate Banking. He has held senior positions in commercial banking as well
as merchant banking in several leading banks in Malaysia.
